Litter pickers clean channel

A litter pick organised by Flamingo Flowers Ltd resulted in 26 bags of rubbish being cleaned up from the Coronation Channel.

The volunteers covered an almost five-mile stretch of the channel and picked up a baby bath, a strimmer and 100s of beer cans.

Managing director, David Brown said: “We were really pleased with the number of Flamingo staff (plus friends and family) that volunteered for the event; and the difference we managed to make, having cleaned more than four-and-a-half miles of river bank.”
