Dunn targets historic win for Pinchbeck United in huge FA Vase clash with Worcester

Pinchbeck United are gearing up for one of the biggest games in the club’s history this weekend.

The Knights, fresh off the back of having three players sent off in a 5-1 Uhlsport UCL Premier Division loss at Boston Town, host a huge Buildbase FA Vase first round clash with Worcester City on Saturday (3pm).

Player/boss Ian Dunn admits that the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field clash is a big one for the club, with Worcester having endured something of a fall from grace since accepting voluntary demotion to the Midland Football League Premier Division back in 2017.

The player/boss is hoping for a big gate and feels the tie is winnable.

He said: “To be honest, it’s one of the biggest games the club has been involved in.

“It’s a great draw for us and one we feel is winnable.

“We’d like to get the job done on Saturday if we can, a midweek replay wouldn’t be ideal.”

Skipper Tyrone Burton is cup tied for the clash.
