Soaring temperatures led to a busy Bank Holiday weekend for fire crews across South Holland.
The district basked in over 30 degree heat throughout Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The recent dry spell led to a host of grass fires starting on Wednesday, August 21 when five fire crews were called to Spalding Road in Crowland where four acres of stubble and one tonne of hay bales were destroyed.
After being extinguished a tractor was used to dig around the blaze.
On Thursday, August 22 Crowland Fire were called out to a hay bale fire at Gedney Hill around 9.30pm and were then called out to the same fire at 1am using one hose reel, two drags and a beater.
Spalding Fire Crew attended a car and 50m of stubble on fire off Cross Gate in Weston at 7.20am the following day.
On the same day, fresh from attending a house fire in Ledenham, Holbeach Fire Crew were at Worlds End Road, Tydd St Mary around 6.30pm where one acre of field and one tonne of bales was destroyed.
Sunday, August 25 saw Donington and Spalding crews called out to a combine harvester on fire, though following the 3.20pm call the owner had put the fire out by the time the crews arrived by Swale Bank in Gosberton Westhorpe.
Another hay strip was reported alight around 3am on Monday, August 26 which Crowland Fire Crew put out using a hose reel and two extinguishers.
On Monday night at around 9.10pm, Crowland Fire Crew were back in action and called to put out a vehicle fire on Corporation Bank.
Crews used two hose reels and two beaters to extinguish it before digging around it with a tractor and letting it burn out.
There was also a factory fire in Pinchbeck on Tuesday night.
