Two young girls have raised over £600 for charity by having their long locks cut off and used for wigs for children.
Isabelle (8) and Marley Bycraft (7) both wanted to have their hair cut after their granddad explained about children losing their hair and how they could help by speaking to the organisation of the Princess Trust to do something for young people less fortunate than themselves.
The charity helps those under 24 who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Chloe McConnell and Zaneta Kondrotaite, of Shear Shak in Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, did the honours at Spalding’s Indoor Bowls Club on July 31.
Isabelle and Marley’s mum and dad, John and Fliss Bycraft, said: “We’d like to thank Shear Shak for donating their time for the family and helping them to achieve their goal.
“The girls were delighted with their new look and said they will continue to grow their hair and do it all again.”
