Spalding Academy students celebrate GCSE results

‘Hard work and dedication has been rewarded’ the head of Spalding Grammar School has said as its GCSE results were announced.

The school says that in addition to English and mathematics, the top four subjects where students have achieved grades seven to nine (or equivalent) are art & design, health & social care, information technology and travel & tourism.

There has also been a notable increase in grades nine to five in sports science and statistics.

Mr Glenn Martin, headteacher at Spalding Academy said “It has been wonderful to celebrate with our students today as their hard work and dedication has been rewarded.

“I would also like to express my thanks to all parents and carers for their continuous support throughout their time at school.”

“I am pleased so many students from Spalding Academy will continue their education in the trust as they have achieved the results to progress to our SLAT Sixth Form at Bourne Academy.

“I wish all our students the very best in the next phase of their educational endeavours whether this be sixth form, college or an apprenticeship, and I hope they will keep in touch with the school in the future.”
