Ben bidding for a boost at his favourite track

TRIP NORTH: Ben Wilson rides at Knockhill this weekend.

Ben Wilson travels north of the border to Scotland this week for the forthcoming round of the MCE British Superbike championship.

Following a disappointing time at Snetterton in the previous round where he suffered a crash in the first race and scored just one championship point for 15th in the second, the Kirton rider will be looking to turn his championship around at Knockhill, one of his favourite circuits.

Riding for Gearlink Kawasaki, Wilson has had his fair share of problems with the bike. Being in the early stages of development it is still throwing up a few issues that seem difficult to resolve but the short, undulating circuit at Knockhill may well be the turning point of his season.

The round begins on Friday with two free practice sessions.

The final free practice session is on Saturday morning ahead of the three stage qualifying laps at 4.05pm.

The first 30-lap race is at 1.30pm. The second race is due on track at 4.30pm.

Qualifying on Saturday and both races on Sunday will be covered live on British Eurosport 2.
