GALLERY: Pupils who ‘Walk Tall’ awarded by Spalding Lions

Some of South Holland’s top young talents have been recognised for their school achievements by the Spalding Lions.

Every year the group asks schools to nominate a student for their Walk Tall awards for those whose achievements have stood out for a host of different reasons.

Over the last few weeks the of school term the Lions visited the schools to present the nominated children with their awards.

Each child was individually presented with a certificate and a book voucher as a reward for the pupils’ hard work.

Elaine Mothers, the president of Spalding Lions, said: “We are proud to present these awards to the children at the various schools and have been giving these awards for many years.

“The children had been nominated by school staff for personal achievement, showing determination and perseverance within their school year.”
