Saturday football: Tigers smash six to go second, Pinchbeck win to stay clear and Moulton reach last eight

Both Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United enjoyed impressive away wins on Saturday to continue their fine recent form.

In the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division, the Tigers moved up to second in the table after a resounding 6-0 victory at Wellingborough Whitworth.

A second-half hat-trick from Will Bird inspired Seb Hayes’ side to a big away success, while George Zuerner, Charley Sanders and Lewis Leckie also found the net.

With Leicester Nirvana stunned at Sleaford Town, Holbeach leapfrog them in the table and are now just eight points behind table-topping Newport Pagnell Town with two games in hand.

Meanwhile, Pinchbeck United are still six points clear at the top of UCL Division One after a 2-0 success at Melton Town.

A first half strike from Tony Edwards following an Andrew Tidswell corner gave the Knights the lead at the break, before Ash Murrell’s long-range screamer in the second half sealed the points.

Ian Dunn’s side have now taken 36 points from the last 39 available, won nine in a row and haven’t conceded a goal in each of their last three games.

Elsewhere, goals from Danny Lambe-Hyner and Bobby Patterson saw Moulton Harrox beat Ruston Sports 2-0 at Broad Lane to move into the last eight of the Lincs Junior Cup.

In the ChromaSport PDFL, Sutton Bridge were 3-0 winners over Leverington Sports to go fifth in the Premier Division. Matt Eaton, Ben Partridge and Matt Wayman netted for them at Memorial Park.

Top tier side Holbeach United Reserves also won in the PFA Senior Cup, coming from behind to see off Ketton 2-1. Joe Millinson got the leveller, before Gary Chappell hit a late winner.

In Division One, Long Sutton Athletic won 3-1 at Ramsey Town and Tydd St Mary beat Uppingham Town 4-0 at home, while Crowland Town went down 4-2 at Wittering Harriers.
