Man (57) killed as struck by train at level crossing

A man was killed when he was hit by a train at a level crossing on Wednesday afternoon.(March 8)

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We were called at 4.49pm to Quadring Level Crossing, near Spalding, to reports of a person struck by a train.

“We attended but sadly a 57-year-old man died at the scene.”

The incident is not believed to be suspicious and the man’s family have been informed.
