Outstanding lots at Rotary Club’s charity Two Lips ball

The Rotary Club of Spalding and Welland is holding its fifth annual Two Lips charity ball at Springfields on Saturday, March 18.
 
 
The event will feature top tribute band The Driftars together with a disco, three-course meal, auction, raffle and gift tree.
 
The popular auction this year will have several outstanding lots, including two tickets for the Test match between England and South Africa at Trent Bridge on Sunday, July 16.
 
These have been kindly donated by Rotarian Alan Porter who has invited Basharat Hassan, the Kenyan cricketer who for 12 years opened for Notts CC and is currently vice-president of that club. He will present a signed copy of his new book.
 
A personalised England rugby shirt which has been donated by Jonathan Joseph, who is England’s number 13 and grandson of Rotarian Rodney Britten.
 
This shirt was worn in the England versus France match on August 22 and is inscribed to celebrate the award of his 12th England cap.
A personal framed photograph is also included, showing Jonathan at the wheel of his new England team BMW.
 
Live Promotions are offering tickets for the Peterborough Truckfest weekend on April 30 and May 1, Billy Ocean at Lincoln Castle on July 8 and Icons of the 80s at Burghley House on Saturday, June 10.
 
Sedge Estate Agents have also offered a three-night stay in a luxury lodge at Tydd  St Giles Golf and Country Club for six persons to include an 18-hole round, fishing, indoor pool, sauna, bar and restaurant.
