Dog walker rescued from River Welland in Spalding

A dog walker is recovering after being rescued from the River Welland on Wednesday.(March 8)

The woman, in her 60s, slipped into the water while in London Road, Spalding, at about 2.45pm.

A police spokesman said: “She was rescued and treated for the effects of being in cold water but did not need to go to hospital.”

Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance attended, as well as other emergency services.
