COLUMN: Free sporting activities taster in Spalding

by Karen Johnson – community development officer at South Holland District Council

We would like to call out to all sports clubs and organisations in South Holland. We have a “Give it a Go!” taster event coming up on Sunday, April 2, 10.30am-3.30pm, on the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field, Spalding.

We would encourage clubs interested to get in touch with us if they would like to have a stand or an area for a demonstration.
You can be a dance group or a football team, it doesn’t matter as long as you promote physical activity for any age in South Holland.

This will be a free entry event and we hope that clubs can gain new members and the public can gain an insight into what we have on offer in our district in way of sporting activities.
1Life will be in support with a few fun games and their free health checker as well as our own Community Development representatives on the day.

If you are interested in promoting your club at this event, please get in touch with us at Community Development 01775 761161 or community@sholland.gov.uk.
