Commanding win sees Lincoln Arms strengthen their lead in Division One

Lincoln Arms A strengthened their position at the top of Division A with a commanding 21-6 away win at Pinchbeck FC B.

The Football Club’s only success came in the pairs through John Gilman and Tom Elderkin, their win featuring a 17-dart leg and a 180 from Elderkin.

For the Lincoln, Sam Roberts and Dean Murray also produced a 17-dart leg in the pairs, Paul Blow added a 17-dart leg in his singles, and Steve Stancer struck a 180.

Second-placed Royal Mail Cart kept pace with a 17-10 home win over Consti Club C.

Paul Faulkner hit a 180 for the visitors, Jordan Philpott checked out on 102, and with Josh Faulkner they put together an 18-dart leg.

Services Club B earned a much needed 20-7 away victory at Kirton Leisure, where the only singles win for the home side came from Mark Ledger, who beat Tony Clark 2-1.

Dave Norbury and Ady Smith both hit 180s for the Services.

In Division B, leaders Green Dragon Z won 15-12 at home to Drayman’s Arms B.

Trailing 9-12, the Dragon were rescued by Kieran Day, who produced a 119 finish, and Callum Day, both winning 3-0 to seal the comeback.

For the Drayman’s, Phil Newton hit a 180, while Kev Newton and Jake Harris recorded a 17-dart leg in the pairs.

With two games in hand over the leaders, Consti Club B closed the gap to 13 points after a 16-11 away win at Drayman’s Arms Q.

Stu Ewins hit a 104 finish in his pairs game with Matt Broderick, which included an 18-dart leg.

Lincoln Arms D stayed firmly in the hunt for a top two finish with an 18-9 home win over Pinchbeck FC A.

Luke Rhodes and Stacey Banister both hit 180s for the Lincoln, while Tracey Baldwin struck a 180 and added a 17-dart leg for the Football Club.

Division C saw just one fixture played, with Green Dragon C running out 21-6 winners at home to bottom side Drayman’s Arms A.

Chris Reynolds was the only singles winner for the visitors.

The final place in the third round of the Knockout Cup was settled earlier in the week, with Consti Club C beating Green Dragon A 6-3.

The match produced some excellent darts, including a 180, a 146 checkout and an 18-dart leg from Scott Williams for the Dragon.

For the Consti, Jacob Herd hit a 171, Paul Faulkner produced a 17-dart leg, and Jordan Philpott delivered an outstanding 12-dart leg.
