A Spalding medical centre is celebrating a hat-trick of accolades.
Beechfield Medical Centre has been named as the Lincolnshire Primary Care Nursing Team of the Year for 2026.
That’s on top of earning Learning Disability Gold Quality Mark status and the FiveStar Quality Early Warning Score Award.
The latter was awarded by the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board after Beechfield recorded 93 out of 100 in a comprehensive assessment.
It’s the latest in a line of accreditations for the centre which looks to ‘an active role in developing the future healthcare workforce through GP Registrar training, student nurse placements, apprenticeships and ongoing professional development opportunities for staff,’ a spokesman said. “Strong partnerships with care homes, community nursing teams, St Barnabas Hospice, Specialist Neighbourhood Nurses, social prescribing services and local organisations have helped deliver more joined-up care for patients across the community.”
Practice manager Melissa Lawson said: “Whilst we are incredibly proud of these achievements, they belong to every member of the team at Beechfield.
“These awards are recognition of the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by our staff every day, often under significant pressure.
“I am privileged to work alongside such a talented and committed group of people who consistently go above and beyond for our patients and each other.
“I would also like to thank our Patient Participation Group, whose support, feedback and involvement have played an important role in helping us improve our services.
“Many of the changes we have made over recent years have been shaped by patient feedback, and these achievements reflect a genuine partnership between our practice and the community we serve.”
