A couple whose son died aged 45 are opening their garden this weekend to raise money for the charities that helped him.
Frank and Mo Teeuw are letting people look around the exquisite gardens of 20 High Street, Moulton this Sunday (July 12) to raise funds for St Barnabas and Macmillan.
Their son Nathan, a father of three, died seven years ago from cancer.#
“It’s the least we can do to say thank you for the amazing care and support they gave Nathan and us when he was ill,” said Mo, who continues to help her 75-year-old husband Frank in the garden despite breaking her hip a few months ago.
“It’s about us giving something back and for people to come and enjoy the garden,” said Frank. “Nathan was always enthusiastic about the garden.”
A talented artist, Mo has been making mosaics out of stained glass that she’ll be selling on the day in the garden that’s sandwiched between Moulton Mill and All Saints’ Church.
Entry is £3 from 11am to 4pm.
Children are welcome but there are no dogs.
