Society’s boost for village hall

Long Sutton and District Civic Society has donated £250 to Lutton Village Hall for its ongoing renovations.

It was presented at one of the twice monthly coffee meetings held at the venue.
These take place on the second and fourth Monday of the month from 10am to noon.
The Civic Society is also set to use the hall for an exhibition entitled ‘History and Memories of the village of Lutton’.
That’s set to take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend and is open from 10am to 4pm on August 29 and 30.
It will include photographs and memorabilia relating to Lutton and a selection of the society’s publications will also be on sale.
It will coincide with St Nicholas Church’s flower festival, the church being open 10am to 5pm, Friday to Monday.
A spokesman for Lutton Village Hall said: “There’s so much going on in our lovely village.
“The village hall is embarking on some major renovations and is very thankful for the Long Sutton Civic Society’s contribution.”
