University life came to a South Holland primary school for two days so pupils could experience life as undergraduates.
The William Stukeley CofE School, Holbeach, organised a range of seminars over two days.
“We believe that the seminars not only open our children’s eyes to the many and varied career paths available to them, but also encourage the children to try new things and mix with new peers and staff. In addition, the seminars aim to raise pupil aspiration and promote excellent attendance and aptitude,” said a school spokesman.
This year, the ‘university’ was supported by Ben, Alice and Harley of G Shearer & Son Butchers in the town.
They gave time and resources to ensure the ‘Becoming a master butcher’ seminar, described as one of the highlights of the event.
“We are incredibly grateful to all our local partners for their ongoing support in bringing this ambitious event to life,” the spokesman added.
