Carnival gifts in memory of Chris

Donations to charity were particularly poignant this year as they were made in memory of a previous event chairman.

Pinchbeck Village Carnival proved to be a huge success again this year and ended with £200 being donated to the Pinchbeck branch of the Royal British Legion, first responder charity LIVES and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.

Jane Amess said on behalf of the organisers: “These donations were made in memory of our previous chair Chris Schofield, who sadly died last year.

“Chris was a familiar figure around Pinchbeck riding his tractor so it was very fitting that some of the money was raised from our first ever Vintage Tractor Run which was organised by Kevin Mothers in his memory.”
