Bid to extend no parking area is passed

Councillors have backed extending a no parking zone on a road where there have been complaints.

Lincolnshire County Council officers say poor parking on Holbeach’s Park Road has led to access issues for the WI Hall and the County Care Day Centre.

There were two objections from members of the public concerned that they wouldn’t be able to park nearer to their homes.

Meeting chair and member for Holbeach Coun Thomas Sneath proposed the county council’s Planning Committee back officer’s recommendations.

Coun Thomas Sneath, said: “There’s free parking spaces available nearby.

“If you go on Google images you can people have tried to put two cars into one making the entrances into the day care centre more or less inaccessible.”
