Consti A got their own back against their E team in the Spalding League. After losing to their clubmates in the Supreme Cup, they stormed back with a 7-2 win.
Consti won the first seven games, with Mark Dixon and Dan Gent winning the singles for the E team. Player of the night was Chris Fidler, who had a 180 and legs of 17 and 18. Andy Bingham also slotted in a 180.
Rose and Crown C retained top spot with a 5-4 win against Drayman’s A. They sealed the win with two games to go. Drayman’s started the better, going 2-1 up in the pairs, but wins from Mark Horspool, Simon Hill, Duncan Hunt, and Ant Richardson sealed the point. Richard Cooper and Kev Newton won for Drayman’s. Josh Higgins, Simon Hill, and Duncan Hunt hit 180s and Jake Merrill had a 117 checkout. Richard Cooper hit a 17-dart leg in his win, which was bettered by Ant Richardson, who had a 15-dart leg.
There was a 6-3 win for Ye Olde Abbey against Royal Mail Cart. Cart went 2-1 up in the pairs but lost four singles in a row. Their sole winner was Paul Faulkner. Abbey captain Dean Parker had a good night, with an 18-dart leg in the pairs with Scott Lawrence and a 108 checkout in his singles win.
In Division Two, Drayman’s B kept up their 100 per cent record, beating Ship Long Sutton 5-4. Ship went 2-1 up but Sandy Sandison levelled for Drayman’s before Jake Hinta Penta put the Ship back in front. Wins for Chris Howling, Dan Merrill and Matt Broderick took the points for Drayman’s. Tom Burton won for Ship and hit an 18-dart leg.
Consti D stayed on Drayman’s heels by beating Holbeach Services 6-3. Consti roared into 3-0 win in the pairs with singles wins from Nick Collins, Colin Beckett, and Andy Smith. Captain Ady Smith hit a 17-dart leg.
Rose & Crown B had a 6-3 win against Green Dragon A. A strong start brought two wins in the pairs, followed by singles wins from Dave Henderson, Simon Clare, Ian McCreery and Arthur Porter. Leo Clarkson hit a 180.
Drayman’s D went top of Division Three by beating Lincoln Arms 5-4. They were 4-0 up after the pairs but Lincoln fought back with wins from Vlad Fomkinas, Ian Tilley, Andy Palmer and Nigel Goodwin. With the scores level, Jordan Philpott performed under pressure and beat Duane Harrison and hit five scores of 100 or more.
Holbeach Services B Pied Calf 7-2, while Moulton Harrox beat Green Dragon B 5-4 after Ian Stephens won the decider.
