Around 40 services and charities got together last month to talk about their actions in South Holland and how they can work together.
NHS Community Connectors Vanessa Collins and Jo Ireland put on the session at the Toinc Health Holbeach Hub.
They described it as a ‘Market Place-style’ event with professionals and representatives invited to go along, display details of their own provision and also network with others.
Stallholders included charities, statutory services, local groups and Information providers.
There were also speakers who took the stand to provide attendees with updates and information, these focused around NHS Mental Health provision and pathways, South Holland District Council rough sleeping strategy, recovery college sessions available locally and also DWP Disability specialism.
The event was extended into the afternoon to allow members of the public to attend.
Examples of stalls included One You, Veterans Support Service, Long Sutton Men’s Shed, Age UK, Boxes of Hope and Tonic Health.
There were also talks from Frank Heinrich-Tiller, Long Sutton Men’s Shed and representatives from Age UK around their services and how to access them.
Jo said: “These events are vital for building and strengthening community partnership working to together address shared goals.
“Such joined up working allows contacts to be shared, faces to be recognised and working relationships to be built upon.”
Jo and Vanessa are based at Tonic Health’s Spalding Hub from 10am to 3pm.
