Festive Frost aids Tigers

It’s been a brilliant Christmas for a George Frost inspired Holbeach United.

They scored seven goals ad didn’t concede any in their two games over the festive period.
That included a 4-0 Boxing Day win in the South Holland derby at Pinchbeck United.
They were gifted the lead early on when Marley Hamilton got on the end of a poor backpass and finished to make it 1-0 in the 23rd minute.
The Tigers though really made their dominance count in the second half.
Frost, back in the country for Christmas during the break from being at college in the US, was fouled in the box on 55 minutes and Sam Carter stepped up to convert the spot kick for 2-0.
Kyle Compton made it 3-0 just five minutes later before Frost himself then scored the fourth.
It came on the back of a 3-0 win at Dussindale and Hellesdon Rovers just before Christmas.
Frost provided the through ball for Callum Wright to net the opener on the half hour mark.
And again Holbeach’s quality showed in the second period as Wright bagged his second, following up a saved Thorne shot, before Sam Carter put the icing on the cake with a fine strike from the edge of the penalty area.
There’s still plenty of work for the Tigers to do to get into the play offs, but they’re in seventh and still in touch with the top five going into 2025 which they’ll start at home to Leiston U23s.
