Smith checks out well to help Services B close gap at top

Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter Darts League Division A leaders Lincoln Arms A were not playing, so Services Club B narrowed the gap to a single point thanks to a 7-2 home win against Green Dragon A.
Ady Smith had a 116 checkout for an 18-dart leg and, with partner Ben Chester, a 16-dart pairs leg.
For the second time this season, reigning ladies champion Stacey Banister, went on last and clinched a 5-4 victory for Lincoln Arms D over Pinchbeck FC A, beating Andy Mason 2-0.
With the scores tied at 3-3 between Consti Club B and Royal Mail Cart, wins from Matt Broderick, Carl Pogson and Scott Lawrence saw Consti come out 6-3 winners.
Playing their first game of the season, Consti C were convincing 8-1 victors at Drayman’s Arms B. There was a 106 checkout and a 15-dart leg for Drayman’s Phil Newton and Paul Faulkner had a 114 checkout and 16-dart leg for Consti.
Division B leaders Green Dragon Z extended their lead with a 9-0 home win over bottom side Drayman’s Arms A. Morgan Sandison had a 105 finish for Drayman’s.
Lincoln Arms C had an impressive 8-1 win at Pinchbeck FC B. The only win for the Pinchbeck side came from Darren Hubbard and Sam Clift in the opening pairs match.
There were wins for Consti Club Z in their derby game against their A team, 6-3, and Services Club A at Green Dragon C, 5-4.
