Fidler is the star man

Spalding Darts League leaders Tigers C had a bye week, allowing Consti A to capitalise with a 6-3 win over their E team to move into top place. However, Tigers have a game in hand.
Chris Fidler was the star for Consti A with 12 and 15-dart legs in his 2-0 singles win over Jason Chilvers and also hit a 180 in his 15 dart leg and a 156 checkout in his 12-dart leg. Other singles winners for Consti A were Sam Roberts, Andy Bingham and Jason Vines.
Consti E’s Calum Ward had an 18-dart leg in his victory over Jack Chilvers.
Lincoln Arms A had a 6-3 win against Drayman’s Arms, but it wasn’t all gloom for Drayman’s because Kev Newton threw a 180 and a 17-dart leg. Richard Cooper also fired in a 180.
There was also a 6-3 win for Rose and Crown against Punchbowl A. The star player was James Truman, of Rose and Crown, who had a 180 and 17-dart leg in his victory over Ant Norman.
In Division Two, Ye Olde Abbey maintained their good run to stay top of the league with a 6-3 win against Green Dragon A. Jimmy Tenno won the first singles game for the Dragon but wins for Scott Lawrence, JJ Bird, Dean and Morgan Parker sealed the win.
Tigers B secured a 7-2 victory against Ship Long Sutton, winning most singles games, with successes for Tyger Atkin, Richard Brooks, Phil Horspool and Mark Robinson.
A 5-4 result went in favour of Drayman’s B against Mail Cart A. After going 2-1 up in the pairs, wins for Conor Hughes, Shane Thorpe and Dan Merrill gave them victory. Paul Faulkner had a 180 in his victory over Wigs Harrison.
Holbeach Services remain unbeaten at the top of Division Three after beating Punchbowl B 5-4. They went 2-1 up in the pairs before Josh Moyses and Stu Stephens won their singles. That left Mike Ocock to win his game against Ryan Munton to secure victory.
Lincoln B beat Green Dragon B 5-4. Lincoln took the early advantage, winning all three pairs games and victories by Mark Mckay and Sharon Barnard secured the victory.
There was a 5-4 win for Consti D against Mail Cart B. Mail Cart took the advantage by going 2-1 up in the pairs but John Robinson and Colin Beckett put the Consti ahead. Jonny Pell and Carl Kirk then won for Mail Cart to put them 4-3 up with two games to go. Consti D held their nerve and Lindsey Wignell and Steve Emery both won to give victory to Consti D.
