A man charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a house in Spalding has had a provisional trial date set by the court.

The body of Kristine Sparane (37) (pictured right) was discovered at her home in Winsover Road in Spalding on Tuesday, November 26.
Brian Simpson (64), of Nene Court, Spalding, was charged with murder after being arrested by Lincolnshire Police.
Simpson appeared before Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday afternoon.
The case was listed before Judge Nirmal Shant KC at Nottingham Crown Court but was transferred to Lincoln Crown Court.
Dressed in a grey tracksuit top, Simpson spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth when he appeared over a video link from HMP Nottingham.
His barrister, Clive Stockwell KC, did not apply for bail on his client’s behalf.
He will next appear via a video link into Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on January 9.
Judge Sjolin Knight fixed a provisional trial date beginning at Lincoln Crown Court on May 19 next year and remanded Mr Simpson back into custody.
