Quick treble returns Tigers to winning ways

Three goals in three minutes helped Holbeach United get back to winning ways on Saturday.

After four defeats in a row in all competitions and no goals in the last three matches, three goals in three minutes saw them beat Needham Market Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
Manager Chris Carter’s side found themselves 1-0 down at home to Needham Market Reserves who have only won once so far this campaign.
But the Tigers came roaring back from that ninth minute disappointment.
Cam Lee levelled matters in the 24th minute and by the 26th it was 3-1 as Ryan Cook bagged a quickfire double.
The first was a fine effort from the edge of the area before the Tigers won the ball back from the re-start and put Cook through on goal where he made no mistake one-on-one with the keeper.
Holbeach were solid in the second half, though Cook missed his chance for a hat-trick, blazing a late penalty over the bar.
The Tigers face a trip to Suffolk and sixth placed Framlingham Town this coming Saturday.
Tigers: Simpson, Yambasu, Roberts, Ling, Lee, Carter, Thorne, Wright, Cook, Keeble, Compton. Subs: Fowler, Thompson-Fitch, Millinson.
Attendance: 164.
