Cemetery gets makeover

Whaplode Cemetery has been given a new makeover.

Among the items given a clean up is the Buttercup World sculpture which was commissioned by Stanley Hoyes in 1998.
Whaplode Parish Council says it has also improved the access road, designated an area for vehicle parking, planted more shrubbery and installed new seating and bin.
G and D Engineering worked with councillors Bob Merchant and Paul Stafford on the new configuration for the sculpture.
A spokesman for Whaplode Parish Council, said: “It’s a stunning piece of work.”
