Get a taste of life at food zone

The South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone is inviting the community to have a look round at a special open day.

Members of the public can pop along and have a look at what goes on at the site just outside of Holbeach from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, September 14.
A spokesman for the South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone said: “The event aims to raise awareness in the local community of all the brilliant things that happen on-site and the potential for locally based careers in the agri-food, manufacturing, and technology sectors.”
Among the attractions will be vintage tractors, science and technology demos, tastebuds tests, plenty of games and family activities plus food including Michelle’s Snack Truck, Walpole Whippy and Jackalope Joe’s Coffee.
“Ever wondered what the South Lincolnlshire Food Enterpise Zone is or what happens there?
“Come and find out at our community open day.
“Talk to some of the businesses based here to find out what they do and what’s planned next on site.
“Take part in food testing and see the laboratories and research in action.
“Discover the career opportunities of the future and what the FEZ brings to Holbeach.
“We also have goodie bags to give away, fun activities and food vendors on site.”
