Lions charter birthday bash

Bow ties and ball gowns were the order of the day for members of Spalding Lions.

The club marked its 53rd charter anniversary with a celebration event at Spalding’s Woodlands Hotel.
The club was formed and chartered in 1971 with the first president Jack Smith, a local chartered accountant.
Current president Stuart East and his wife Nita welcomed guests including District Governor Lion Paul Southerton and his wife Sue from Hunstanton. There were also members from Bourne and District, Spalding Rotary Club and Grantham Lions.
Spalding club meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month. More details are on the club’s Facebook page.
