Brownies pop in to care home

Holbeach Brownies recently held a meeting at a care home.

Residents at Holbeach Meadows were keen to spend the evening supporting the Brownies to achieve their painting badge.
Home manager Gemma Woodcock said: “We used a variety of media, including canvasses and pastels, but the favourite was poster paint and fingers – the Brownies led the way and the residents were happy to follow!
“We all painted some lovely spring flower pictures in an array of colours.
“Bringing the younger and older generations together is something we are very passionate about at Holbeach Meadows.
“The positive impact on both parties is clear to see.
“I am so pleased to be working with our girl guiding branches to introduce yet another branch to our inter-generational therapy activities.
“The residents all really enjoyed spending time with the Brownies, and they all had great fun painting together.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere in the dining room with lots of chatter and messy fingers!
“We hope to welcome the Rainbows in to see us next term and plan to make it a regular event.”
