LETTERS – A sad reflection of society

Referring to Mark Hadley’s letter in Spalding Voice (March 20) regarding dog attacks, I always carry a small bottle of washing up liquid with me when walking my little dog and will not hesitate to squirt it into a dog’s eyes who wants to savage my dog or indeed to a person who wishes to harm either one of us.
The solution is diluted (so it squirts further) and will cause a lot of pain, albeit, temporary.
It’s a sad reflection of today’s society when you have to go out armed but it is what it is.
You have a right to protect both your dog and yourself.
