Run of home games starts with loss

Pinchbeck started a run of five straight home games with a defeat as they look to secure their place in the United Counties League Premier Division North.
With eight of their final nine game at the Sir Halley Stewart, the Knights need to start picking points up there as they stand second from bottom three points above Hucknall Town, who are one of their opponents at home in the run-in.
But they were unable to spark the home form on Tuesday night as they were beaten 2-0 by Newark and Sherwood.
Hucknall have strengthened in recent weeks and picked up points and Pinchbeck have responded by bringing in Jordan Neil from Blackstones and Clayton Willkinson and Joe Nicholson from Lincoln United, who Pinchbeck play at home next Tuesday (February 27).
All started against Newark as Pinchbeck created chances but were unable to score.
Slater went close in the first half and the Knights also had a goal ruled out but Newark took the lead on 40 minutes through a fine Ben Henderson strike.
The second came on 72 minutes when Liam Moran acted quickest after a shot came down after the bar.
Former Knight Ross Wooley put in a brilliant save towards the end to ensure it ended 2-0.
Knights: Cox, Stevens, Nicholson, Robson, Brooks, Wallace, Kanu, Wilkinson, Slater, Young, Neil. Subs: Fogg, Cranfield, Stuffins, Callaghan, Hunt.
Attendance: 53.
