GALLERY – Autumn festival thrills Spalding

One of Spalding’s most popular annual attractions, the Pumpkin Festival, returned last Saturday (October 3).

Hundreds turned out to enjoy the attractions, games and stalls on offer around the town’s Market Place.

From Jonathan Nicholls’ pumpkin creations to Tyrrells Farm’s tractor displays there was a host of items for people to take in.

There was pumpkin carving as well as a fancy dress competition hosted by the Spalding Lions.

A spokesman for South Holland District Council’s Communities team, which organised the event, said: “Wow, that a fantastic day.

“Thank you to everyone who attended – our events are nothing without you.”

Sophieanna Morgan won the fancy dress competition.
