The game was a rescheduled match against the team currently sitting at the top of the league.
This didn’t make any difference though as Long Sutton 2nd had already knocked one team off the top.
The game started well with Long Sutton pushing Wisbech back but the game was to be an end to end affair from the off.
The midfield kept on battling but Wisbech managed to make it a very much defensive game for the Long Sutton Ladies.
The ladies battled hard to keep the balls out of the D but the Wisbech team kept on banging them in with some hard hits managing to hit some lucky balls past the defence.
The coach was on the side this week who hadn’t seen the team play for a while and at half time gave a very comforting talk saying that everyone had been using what they had been working on in train and that he was very impressed in the way the team were battling and how they had improved so much.
The ladies started the second half with a spring in their step and started to have some great runs.
They battled on as they had become 2-0 down in the first half but they never give up.
It was a tough game but one with many positives to be taken from.
The game ended 5-0 to Wisbech.
