Whitewash win for Donington puts them at top of the table

Donington C are leading Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League by just one point.

They whitewashed Services A 6-0 thanks to wins from Neil Reynolds (O63), Mat Turner (O14), Shaun Pickering (R21), Neil Favell (O7) and Lee Hempsall (O14).
The win puts them one point ahead of Consti G who beat Pyramid C 5-1.
Their winners were Joe Garland (scr), Ady Sibley (O35), Mark Woodberry (O56) and Mark Wilkinson (O14). Spencer Dawkins (O56) salvaged a point for Pyramid.
Bourne SC A are in third. They beat Services C 4-2. Winners on the night were Mark Gray (O98), who knocked in breaks of 35, 21 and a 31 clearance, Ian Clare (scr) and Michael Byrne (R14).
Geoff Hemsil (R21) and Kev Fitter (O14) got the points for Services, beating brothers Ian (scr) and Carl Gibson (O28) respectively.
Consti E’s Jack Chilvers (O14) is leading the most wins in Division One with 16 so far this season.
He won again on Thursday, helping his team, who are fourth, to a 4-2 victory over Holbeach C.
Other winners were Ben Peppercorn (O7) and Martin Ulyatt (O14).
Holbeach D moved up into fifth place after beating clubmates Holbeach E 4-2.
Denis Hix (R7) pipped Aaron Coe (O7) 47-44 to take the first frame for the D team, before Paul Daw (O28) beat Stuart Sullivan (O35) to make it 2-0.
Pete Ransome (O28) took the third frame, getting the better of Wayne Forbelets (O28) to make it 2-1, before Don Monk (O14) beat Ben Harding (O35) to take the win for the D team.
Phil Coaten (O14) came out on top in the final frame, beating Ian Woodberry (O7) and ending the match 4-2.
Sutton Bridge are still sitting at the bottom of the division following a 5-1 loss away at Boundary A.
Pete King (R7), Daniel Smith (O7), Andy Mowforth (O7) and Tim Burrows (R21) were the winners for Boundary, while Thomas Horspool (O35) got the single point for Sutton Bridge.
Consti H fell 4-2 away at Bourne SC B.
Daryl Mawhinney (scr), Gary Surridge (O7) and Joey Scampion (R7) were the winners for Bourne.
In Division Two, Pyramid D are sitting three points clear at the top after beating second-from-bottom Donington B 5-1.
Josh Agger (O14), James Sharpe (O49), Peter Sharpe-Grose (scr) and Reegan Cooke-Holmes (O21) were the winners.
Pete Burrell (scr) got the single point for Donington.
Second-placed Pyramid A lost some ground, falling 4-2 to clubmates Pyramid B.
Phil Cooke (R7), Dennis Pearson (scr) and Carl Kelham (R7) were the winners.
Consti B hold on to third place with a 4-2 win over fourth-placed Holbeach B.
John Keeton (O7), Steve Spencer (R14) and John Christian (R7) won the first three frames to give Consti the win, before Neil Harvey (O14) and Pete Mullane (O28) got some points for Holbeach.
Bottom-of-the-league Gosberton D gave themselves a little boost with a 5-1 win over Services B.
Wins came from Deac Hempsall (R7), Keith Lungley (O14), Neil Simmons (scr) and Dan Hanger (R7).
Whittlesey C had a good 5-1 win at home to Gosberton A.
Paul Cook (O14) put Whittlesey 1-0 up with a win over Adam Twigg (O14) before Alan Jackson (scr) put things all square, beating Garry Thewliss (O14).
Whittlesey then took the final three frames thanks to Neil Burton (O14), Simon Parker (O7) and Jason Bloomfield (O21).
Services D took on Donington A with Services emerging 4-2 winners.
Holbeach F are holding on to the lead in Division Three.
They beat Whittlesey B 5-1, Alex Bourne (O28) losing the final frame to miss out on a 6-0.
Second-placed Consti I beat friendly foe Consti A 4-2 thanks to wins from Jonathan Smith (R21), John Bellerby (scr) and Dave Brown (O42).
Wayne Wilding (O14) and Nigel Steadman (R7) took the last two frames to give the third-placed A team some points.
Consti J moved up to fourth following a 5-1 win over Consti C.
Adam Braybrook (scr), Jack Howard (R7), Les Andrew (scr) and Stewart Davies (O14) were the winners for the J team, while Dave Banister (scr) got the solitary point for the opposition.
Donington D remain second-from-bottom. They suffered a 5-1 home defeat at the hands of fifth-placed Gosberton C.
James Elliott (O14), Stuart Henderson (scr), Mark Payne (O14) and Stuart Tamplin (R7) took the honours for Gosberton, while Alan Stanley (R14) beat Rob Lockett (R28) to become Donington’s only winner.
