Volunteers step up to wonderland

A dozen volunteers have been helping get ready for the Christmas Winter Wonderland.

The fundraiser for the Spalding Flower Parade, which is being held at the Castle Sports Complex on Saturday, November 11, has seen a host of local people donate decorations.
And the volunteers have been getting them ready to decorate the 60 stalls and Santa’s grotto.
Organiser Steve Timewell says so far £30,000 has been raised towards the £50,000 needed for the Flower Parade.
“Every day I am amazed by the generosity of local people and companies who not only help financially but give their time freely, without hesitation.”
