It was another tough weekend for Pinchbeck United as they lost 5-1 at home to Melton Town in the United Counties League Division Premier Division North, conceding four in the last 18 minutes.
The Knights initially responded well to their 11-0 hammering against Loughborough Students last week and took the lead through Taylor Jaine.
However they were pulled apart late on, Thomas Wakley and Gregory Mills scoring in the 72nd and 75th minute respectively.
Two subs then added to the Pinchbeck misery, Kadeem Price scoring with seven minutes remaining and Kairo Edwards-John making it five in injury time.
Pinchbeck are second bottom of the league with four points from 10 games.
The Knights were due back in action in the Hichingbrooke Cup on Wednesday night hosting Oakham Town (result not known at the time of going to press).
They then have three away games in the league, starting at AFC Mansfield on Saturday.
Knights: Cox, Cranfield, Henderson, Ibeneme, Jaine, Melson (Araujo), Robson, Stevens, Tate (Gagyi), Williams, Wright (Turunen).
Attendance: 30.
