Spalding 2nds win

Spalding’s 2nd XI enjoyed a 72 run win at Skegness 2nd in South Lincs and Border League Division One.
After electing to bat on winning the toss Town enjoyed themselves hitting 214 for 4 in 44 overs before declaring to give them more time to bowl Skegness out.
They did that comfortably with the home side 142 all out in the 33rd over.
In the same division, Moulton Harrox 2nd XI lost at home to Burghley Park.
The visitors put the hosts in, and bar a 26 from Joseph Broomfield, their top order struggled.
He was run out leaving Moulton looking like they would finish on a two figure score.
They didn’t thanks to Cameron Fox (11) and Alex Baker (16), but it was still 100 all out in the 39th over.
Harry Lovell (2 for 33) made early breakthroughs with the ball, but it was a total Burghley chased down in just under 18 overs.
Stuart Biggs (22), Lewis Banthorpe (25 and Josh Gallimore (18 not out) helped their side to the win.
Spalding’s 3rd XI were also defeated in a Division Two match played on Sunday.
They fell to a six wicket defeat at Billingborough 2nds after being all out for 151 batting first.
The home side reached their target in the 32nd over.
