Retained title for tennis pair Brittain and Bingham

Spalding Tennis Club held their fourth annual club doubles championships on Sunday.
It was agreat afternoon which 20 club members competing for this year’s title and Ben Brittain and Hayden Bingham retaining the title they won last year with a 6-3 win over Ian Argent and Joe Brookes in the final.
After the group stages the first semi-final saw Brittain and Bingham win 6-1 against Adam Freeman and Evgieny Shevchenko.
In the second semi-final Argent and Brookes beat Martin Perkins and Mary Clay on a tie break.
Gavin Staite and Richard Houghton won the fifth/sixth place play-off on a tie break over Ian Brookes and Liam Bridge.
Special mention to the four juniors who entered the event and competed well against the adults.
