Spalding United and Holbeach United enjoyed success in cup competitions on Saturday.
The Tulips fought back from 2-0 down at fellow Evo-Stik Division One South side Leek Town to force a replay on Tuesday (Nov 4). Andrew Tidswell (65mins) and a Nathan Stainsfield header (85) did the trick.
The result means the Tulips’ scheduled league trip to Brigg Town on that night is postponed. Staffordshire side Leek Town will return to the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field in the league.
Meanwhile, Holbeach United safely negotiated their FA Vase passage, beating Gorleston 2-0.
Goals from Lee Beeson and Jamie Clarke either side of half-time ensured a relatively worry-free afternoon for the Tigers, who have made no secret of their desire to go a long way in the competition.
