All aboard the ghost ship

A Spalding family has again raised a frightening amount for a charity that helps bring health treatments to the town.

Jamie and Tracey Knight have for the last six Halloweens decorated their Cathedral Drive home to raise money for charity.

In recent years the fundraising aspect has come much closer to home as they raise funds for Hope For Tomorrow.

The charity funds the lorries and trucks that take NHS cancer treatments to 41 locations around Lincolnshire.

The service includes transporting injections for the likes of Jamie’s uncle John Poulter saving countless hours of travelling for his cancer treatments.

Through a tombola and donations, this year the event raised over £250.

“Every year it’s getting bigger and bigger,” said Jamie. “We always like to do something different and this year I had the idea for a skeleton pirate theme.

“We’ve been building the boat for a number of weeks.”
