Mud kitchen and new additions to nature area at Spalding primary school

mud kitchenPupils at Spalding’s St John the Baptist Primary School received two fantastic surprises, thanks to the Friends of School.

The nature area, in which lots of work is being done to create an outdoor learning environment, now has crafted treehouses, mini rope bridges and a beehive all to inspire the children’s imaginations and creativity in their play and academic work.

The houses were made by Tim Langford.
Meanwhile, reception children came into school to find a mud kitchen (pictured) in their outdoor learning area.

Thanks for this go to Hayley Willerton, Alpine and Grass Nursery, Helen Slinger, Birchgrove Nursery, Val and Pete, Wood Green Animal Shelter and Hannah Hoyles.
A school spokesman said: “The work that the Friends of School and local organisations do for the school enhances the children’s learning in so many ways.
“The school community is extremely grateful for their ongoing enthusiasm, drive and support.”
