New defibrillator for Pinchbeck

The first of three new defibrillator units has been installed in Pinchbeck thanks to the hard work of two resident cake makers.
Julie Collins and Lisa Atkinson regularly hold cake sales to raise funds for good causes.
Coun James Avery was talking to Julie at one of her sales when she said they were raising money for a defibrillator.
Coun Avery said: “Julie wanted to raise at least £750, or as much as she could so I suggested if she could reach £750 we (district and parish council) would help out with the difference.”
With contributions from Designated Ward Budgets by Couns Avery, Sally Slade and Elizabeth Sneath and a donation from Pinchbeck Parish Council, there was enough to buy three units.
The first has been installed at the Baptist Church on Knight Street. The second will go at the Church Hall on Rose Lane, with the third unit to be installed in West Pinchbeck.
Julie also persuaded LT Electrical Services to install the units free of charge.
Coun Avery added: “I would like to thank Julie and Lisa for their cake making skills, and for their continuing efforts in fundraising – currently for the people of Ukraine, and to install seating within Pinchbeck.”
