Holbeach Town Band to offer free lessons for Learn to Play Week

Holbeach Town Band are offering free music lessons for brass instruments this Saturday as part of Learn to Play ’21, organised by Music for All.
The 10-15 minute sessions are taking place at the Back Lane Bandroom from 2pm to 5pm.
Mel Hopkin, musical director, said: “We invite anyone interested in learning to play to join us on Saturday for a free taster music lesson.
“Whether you’re a new or lapsed music maker, start your musical journey at Learn to Play ’21 and experience the joys of making music.
“As a band we have had a difficult time over the last couple of years. We are now back to playing but we have vacancies throughout the band.
“We would like to hear from experienced players as well as learners as part of the event taking place across the UK.
“We will be offering free music lessons for brass band instruments to help you find your musical match.
“Join us for this celebration of music and learn about how we can support you on your journey to become a music maker.”
Offering free music lessons in person or, for the first time, online, allows people of all ages and abilities to gain access to a range of instruments and fulfil their dreams of learning to play an instrument.
Learn to Play Day ‘21 is supported by Music for All Ambassadors including Jools Holland and Snow Patrol.
You can register your interest at [email protected] or just turn up.
