PDFL round-up: Sutton Bridge United top of the table as winning run continues

It’s three wins from as many ChromaSport PDFL Division Four games for Sutton Bridge United after they defeated Netherton United A 4-3 on Saturday.

It’s early days for the boys from Memorial Park, but the thrilling victory has them top of the early table.

In the same division, it was a chastising day for Long Sutton Athletic A, who suffered a 13-0 thrashing at Thorpe Wood Rangers.

A hat-trick from Michael Uff was the highlight for the hosts.

Up in the Premier Division, no South Holland sides were in league action – but Long Sutton Athletic did crash out of the Lincs Cup with a 3-1 reverse at Northgate Olympic.

Tydd had better luck in the same competition, as Matt Eaton’s hat-trick fired them to a 4-1 victory over Eagle United. Dale Parnell also netted.

In Division One, Pinchbeck United Reserves were on the receiving end of a 7-0 beating at FC Peterborough.

But Moulton Harrox Reserves enjoyed a 4-2 success over Ramsey Town to stay top of the table.

Doubles from Declan Earth and John Ball saw Kev Nottingham’s side home at Broad Lane, making it four wins from five.

Down in Division Two, Holbeach United Sports were the only South Holland side in action. They drew 3-3 at Stamford Belvedere Reserves with goals from Adam Day (2) and Glen Wells.

Likewise, only Tydd Reserves were on the field in Division Three – and they returned home from Dreams with a 4-2 success.

Elsewhwere, Division Five got under way with Pinchbeck United A suffering a 4-3 home loss against FC Hampton A.

There was better news for Holbeach Bank, who were 4-1 victors at Ramsey Reserves as Josh Cross, Danny Hunt and Callum Hunt got amongst the goals as they started the season in the best way possible.
