Pinchbeck United appoint former Tulips chief Thorogood as their new manager

Lewis Thorogood has been announced as the new manager of Pinchbeck United.

The former Spalding United chief, who resigned from that role just over two weeks ago, replaces the sacked Tom Crozier in the Knights hotseat.

Thorogood spent almost a year in charge of the Tulips at Pitching In NPL South East Division level, but inherits a Pinchbeck side who are in the bottom two of the Uhlsport UCL Premier Division.

A brief Pinchbeck announcement said: “We are pleased to announce that Lewis Thorogood has taken over as the new manager of Pinchbeck United.

“Lewis will take charge of the Knights for the first time on Saturday against Lutterworth Town.

“Welcome to the club Lewis.”

Graham Almond, who worked with Thorogood at Spalding, also joins as part of the coaching staff.

Young coach Alfie Tate, who acted as caretaker manager earlier in the season, is part of the backroom team too.
