Scientists took over a school for a day of experiments and exploration relating to senses during “wow day” at William Stukeley Primary School in Holbeach.
On Monday, February 5, pupils at the school dressed up as scientists and explored the school’s classrooms, each of which was set up to explore a specific sense.
A particularly fun part was the touch room, where the young scientists put their hands into different pots. “Baked beans caused quite a reaction!” said a school spokesman.
They also did experiments to find out how their eyes work, put sounds into loud and quiet order and did taste tests with different flavoured crisps.
“The children left having explored all their senses in one day.”
