Workshop and decking destroyed in West Pinchbeck fire

Six fire crews battled a blaze at a West Pinchbeck workshop overnight.

Crews were alerted to the blaze on Six House Banks shortly before 6pm last night (Wednesday, April 8).

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue urged people to avoid the area and asked local residents to keep their doors and windows closed due to the smoke.

The final crew left the scene early this morning.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “This incident resulted in severe damage by fire to an outbuilding measuring approximately 152 square metres and its contents including workshop and converted mezzanine deck.

“It was  extinguished using three hose reel jets and two main jets.

“The cause is still under investigation.”
