Woman (20) dies after motorcycle in collision with vehicle

A 20-year-old female motorcyclist has died following a collision near Holbeach St John last night (Saturday, November 13).

Lincolnshire Police said this morning she died following the incident on the B1168 New River Gate at around 5pm.

The motorcycle she was riding was involved with a grey BMW with police having already appealed for the driver of the car to come forward.

A spokesman said: “We are saddened to report that a 20-year-old woman has died following a collision in Holbeach yesterday (November 13).

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services on the scene and at hospital, she was pronounced dead just before midnight. Her family is being supported by specially trained officers. 

“We continue to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage which may have captured the incident to come forward, and we still wish to trace the driver of the car involved in the collision.
