Witness appeal after woman and dog bitten in Holbeach

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman and her dog were bitten by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Holbeach.

At around 6pm on Monday, January 6, a woman in her 50s and her daughter were walking their two pugs in Hallgate, Holbeach, when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier escaped its owner.

The white coloured bull terrier bit one of the pugs and the hand of the woman in her 50s.

The woman’s injury is described as serious but not life threatening.

The Pug has received treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
